Files never leave your device. All redaction happens locally in your browser.
Upload a file to redact
Drag and drop a PNG, JPG, JPEG, WebP, PDF, or DOCX file. Images and DOCX files can be up to 25 MB. PDFs can be up to 50 MB and 200 pages.
Legacy DOC files are not supported. Password-protected PDFs are not supported.
How file redaction works
The file is opened and rendered locally in your browser.
You draw or review page-relative redaction areas.
Solid redaction replaces the selected pixels in the output.
PDF pages are rendered into a new image-only PDF.
Original text, forms, annotations, OCR text, and hidden PDF objects are not copied.
Word documents are converted locally and exported as flattened PDFs.
Redaction, blur and pixelation are different
- Solid redaction replaces selected pixels in the flattened output.
- Blur changes visible pixels but can leave text recognizable.
- Pixelation reduces detail, but shapes and patterns can remain.
- A visual box over editable PDF text is not secure redaction.
- Reopen the exported file and test text search and selection.
Supported files and output
- PNG, JPG, JPEG, and WebP images export as new images.
- Text-based, scanned, rotated, and mixed-size PDFs export as flattened PDFs.

- Legacy DOC and password-protected PDFs are not supported.
- Complex Word layouts can differ after browser conversion.
