BlinkCalc is designed to limit data collection. Many calculators, converters, and file tools process their inputs locally in your browser.

Some tools need live network checks, current external data, metadata lookups, AI, remote file processing, or similar server-side functionality. Those tools may send the specific input needed to a BlinkCalc-operated or third-party service, and the tool page should explain that processing near the relevant input or action.

The Website Status Checker sends the full URL you enter to a remote status service so it can perform the check. A full URL can contain a path, query string, fragment, username, password, access token, or other sensitive value. Do not submit confidential, private, internal, credential-bearing, or otherwise sensitive URLs.

Some calculators save the values you enter in the page address (the link), so a calculation can be bookmarked, restored or shared. Anyone you share that link with can see those values, and opening the link sends it to our website host like any other web request. BlinkCalc removes these values from the page address before it sends page views to Google Analytics and before it sends a page address with feedback.

We do not require you to create an account, provide an email address, or share any personal information to use BlinkCalc.

We use the information described in this policy to run BlinkCalc reliably, improve it over time and, where you enable advertising cookies, show ads.

Usage information from analytics helps us understand which tools are popular, where pages can load faster, and where explanations can be clearer. We mostly review it as aggregated reports, but analytics services use identifiers stored in cookies to tell visits apart.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not build advertising profiles from your tool inputs.

If you use Send Feedback, we receive your message, the page address (without calculator values stored in the link), and any screenshot you choose to attach.

Feedback is processed through our feedback server and delivered to our support inbox using Resend, a third-party email delivery service.

Screenshots may contain information visible on your screen, including calculator values. Please avoid including sensitive personal or financial information in feedback or screenshots.

BlinkCalc stores a few settings in your browser's local storage, which is not a cookie: your theme (light or dark mode), your cookie choices, and, on tools that use them, preferences such as your selected currency or recently picked colours. These stay in your browser and are not sent to BlinkCalc or third parties. They are needed for the site to remember your settings and cannot be turned off in Cookie Settings, but you can clear them through your browser's site data settings.

Optional analytics and advertising cookies are off by default. Google Analytics and Google AdSense are not loaded until you enable the matching category, either in the cookie banner or on the Cookie Settings page.

Where legally required, including for visitors in the UK, EEA, and Switzerland, optional analytics and advertising cookies are used only after consent is given.

We do not sell cookie data to third parties. You can manage or disable cookies in your browser settings at any time, or visit the Cookie Settings page linked below to update BlinkCalc preferences.

BlinkCalc may use Google Analytics after analytics cookies are enabled to understand how visitors use the website, identify popular tools, monitor performance, and improve content.

Google Analytics may collect information such as the pages you visit, your IP address (used by Google to estimate approximate location), device type, browser, referring source, and cookie identifiers that distinguish visits. BlinkCalc sends Google Analytics page addresses and referring BlinkCalc pages without query strings or fragments, so calculator values stored in links are not included in the page views we send.

Turning analytics off saves your choice and reloads the page if Google Analytics has already loaded, so it stops running. Data already sent before you turned it off is not removed by this setting.

We use analytics only to improve the website and the usefulness of its calculators and articles.

When advertising cookies are enabled, third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to BlinkCalc visitors based on their visits to BlinkCalc or other sites on the Internet.

Third-party vendors may place and read cookies, use web beacons, or use IP addresses as part of ad serving, fraud prevention, frequency capping, reporting, and measurement.

Users can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings, and can opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalised advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info.

BlinkCalc does not require accounts and does not intentionally store calculator inputs as personal profiles.

Technical logs (such as server access logs), remote tool requests, analytics data, and support messages you send us may be retained for a limited period as needed for security, troubleshooting, legal compliance, and site improvement. BlinkCalc does not make a general no-logging or no-retention promise for remote tool requests.

We aim to keep retention periods proportionate, no longer than is necessary for the purpose for which the data was collected.

Inputs handled entirely in your browser are not sent to a remote tool service by that tool. Network-dependent tools necessarily transmit the disclosed input to the service that performs the request.

The site is served over HTTPS, which encrypts the connection between your browser and our servers.

We take reasonable technical measures to keep the platform secure and to address any vulnerabilities we become aware of.

You can clear or block cookies and other site data, including local storage, through your browser settings at any time.

You can opt out of personalised advertising via Google's Ads Settings or aboutads.info.

You can adjust optional cookie categories on the Cookie Settings page.

BlinkCalc is intended for general audiences and does not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal information through our site, please contact us and we will remove it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the 'Last updated' date at the top of this page.
